CEO appointed23 Jun 2017
The Jersey Community Partnership is pleased to announce the appointment of Rachel French as their new Chief Executive.
Rachel brings a wealth of experience from the voluntary and community sector having spent the last 15 years growing income in large charities, most recently as Head of Fundraising and Legacy Manager for Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust. She was also part of the founding team at Race Nation where she was pivotal in establishing the online registration and fundraising platform which has enabled many local charities to raise the profile and income of their charity events.
She has volunteered for a number of local charities including The Samaritans and Childline and earlier this year took up the Chair of Liberate, the Island’s diversity and equality charity.
Commenting on her appointment Rachel said: “The development of the charity sector in Jersey is a great passion of mine and I am humbled to be in this position – to be part of a team bringing about great positive change in the sector, for the benefit of our many charitable organisations and those who benefit from such valuable services.”
Nigel Smith (Chairman of Jersey Community Partnership) added: “We are delighted to welcome Rachel as our new Chief Executive. Her infectious enthusiasm and passion for the local voluntary and community sector is recognised and I am confident that she will make a lasting and very positive impact. Her appointment comes at an opportune time given anticipated challenges and opportunities with the introduction of a new charity law within the next 24 months.”
